Parkour is used to move through your environement fluidly and efficiently. You may use Parkour to jump through a playground, cruise through an obstacle course race or to impress your friends. Parkour encourages you to overcome obstacles using skills such as strength, balance and coordination. Not only is this functional movement for everyone but it also teaches us the valuable lesson that not every workout has to be boring or go to failure. Parkour is fun and filled with play. You can start with vaulting over a bench or climbing up an 8 foot wall. Parkour is for every age and every fitness level.
BAM Academy takes a skill based approached to teaching you Parkour. We have been teaching Parkour for over 7 years and have worked with everyone all over the United States and the World. Our instructors have even been given the chance to work with several Parkour Originators and their students. BAM Academy is based in Austin and is establishing locations all over Texas. We also work with School Districts such as AISD to teach youth classes in inner city schools. If safety is your concern, we value a low and slow approach to teaching.
